My mom and grandma taught me to sew when I was a teen. I sewed my own clothes for many years. In 1980 I  moved from Evanston, IL to Rocky Hill, CT with my husband. An article in Women’s Day magazine on postage stamp quilts peaked my interest and I began quilting. Now a resident of Montague Center, MA for almost 30 years, I’ve done many traditional quilts for family and friends. In recent years I’ve enjoyed learning fabric surface design and now modern quilting techniques. I like improvisational quilting best. The freedom is amazing. See more of my work at
